Rohrabacher: L.A. Times Loses ‘Total Credibility’
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher says the big loser in the recall election is not the Democrat party but the Los Angeles Times.
The left-slanted paper undermined its "total credibility" by publishing a series of Field Polls that always showed Arnold Schwarzenegger well behind Democrat Cruz Bustamante, the Orange County Republican said this morning on Fox News Channel.
The Times even showed the recall race tightening at the end, when the results showed there was a shift in favor of the recall and Schwarzenegger, he said.
The Times proved it is just part of the Democrat party with its last-minute smear campaign against the actor, the congressman noted.
Rohrabacher pointed out that the paper knowingly published unconfirmed allegations against Schwarzenegger without proper investigation.
He is not the only person who has contempt for the paper.
The people of California witnessed the Times' attacks and decisively shifted in Schwarzenegger’s favor. He had held a solid 40 percent of the vote in the crowded field before the polls opened. He finished with more than 48 percent.
Readers have shown they are not happy with the Times by canceling their subscriptions in droves.
